Smell the Roses: Hope in Everyday Beauty
Smell the Roses – Lucy Banks
I’m so tired and weary
Life’s cares have got me down
There’s griefs and heartaches
All over town
Just stop and take a minute
To smell the roses as they bloom
And see the hope in a tomorrow
Instead of all this doubt and gloom
If we let the dark clouds gather
We’ll be tossed about in the wind
We must look for the silver lining
Life is just what we make it
Bright sunshine or dark of night
Don’t give in to despairs calling
Square your shoulders stand and fight
See the rainbow as it spreads
Magic colors across the sky
Life is full of natural beauty
Just to brighten up our day
So let’s stop, and smell the roses.
