Facing Giants with Unshakable Faith

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusteth in Him. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” No wonder David was able to come against the giant Goliath the champion. Why wouldn’t he offer to fight him even when his own brothers were bigger and he but a youth. St. Paul tells us in Ephesians that: “We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12. We too like David can have this same confidence.
