Looking to the Pilot in the Storm
Robert Louis Stevenson described a raging storm at sea. The waves swept over the troubled ship. All persons aboard the fragile ship feared the vessel would be lost. They were terrified.
As the tempest continued to pound the decks, a passenger crept to the wheelhouse, expecting the worst. There stood the captain, strapped to the wheel, steering without flinching. Catching sight of the man, the captain flashed him a reassuring smile. “All is well,” he said. “I have seen the pilot’s face.”
Jesus is our pilot.
To keep Christ’s perspective we must continually see our pilots face and rest in the assurance that all is well because He is in control.
