Giving the Gift of Presence

The other day I asked my granddaughter what she would like for Christmas. “Oh!,” she said, “grandma I want you,” thinking she didn’t understand me. I asked her again and again she said – “just you.” Are you and I aware this Christmas that God’s love will make our Christmas extra special too? And may your Christmas be filled with happiness, special moments and warmth, the joys of loved ones near - and may the blessings of the day last throughout the year. “Every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights.” James 1:17a Let us remember to give of ourselves this Christmas to Him - who said – “it is more blessed to give than receive.” Yes, let’s make some child happy this Christmas.
