Love and the Will to Live

A key element in strengthening the will to live is a love for others, and many experiments have shown by health care professionals that our minds have a powerful influence over the functioning of our bodies. 1 John 3:17 says: “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” The will to live can be most important.
