Perfect Peace in Life's Wilderness Race
“Everything is so intense, you have a whole range of emotions, up and down, and you just have to learn how to work through them.” - quoted from a recent issue of the Winnipeg Free Press in an article entitled “Yukon Quest”, a dog sled race that pits more than two dozen mushers against 1600 kilometres of frozen wilderness.
Staying focused in such a gruelling competition would obviously require strict thought control.
Sometimes, as we run the race called “life” things get pretty intense and we experience a whole range of emotions, up and down. It is then that we ought to heed the advice of the psalmist: “Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.” Isaiah 26:3
