Your True Worth Beyond Your Work
Did you ever lose your job? – Here’s excellent advice from Jan Spak of the Winnipeg Free Press.
“You are not your job and you are not just what you do for a living. Yes, losing a job means the loss of financial security, benefits and a sense of worth, but you still have all of your skills, experience, knowledge and ability. The basic elements of your personality – your sense of humour, honesty, commitment and value are still a functional part of you. You haven’t lost those things. They are there waiting for you to get back on track.”
Above all don’t panic --- the Bible says in Phil. 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing but in everything give thanks.” RSV
