Resurrection and the Newness of Spring

Easter is a time of new beginnings, a time when things start coming to life. The pussy willows appear again. Our lawns that were buried under a mass of snow emerge. The singing of the birds fills the air. What an appropriate time to celebrate spiritual newness of life! What a wonderful time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus dying on the cross giving of His life for us and then applying the power that God gave Him, rose from the dead. We too can give of ourselves to God and because of the resurrection become all that God wants us to be.
