Shielded from Fear to Carry On
“As my altimeter was out of commission, I could not tell whether I was fifty feet off the water or one hundred and fifty feet. I concluded that I must fly under the altitude, whatever it was, where I collected ice... When daylight came I could see on my wings traces of ice which had gathered. Probably, if I could have been able to see what was happening on the outside during the night, I would have had heart failure then and there; but as I could not see, I carried on.”
That was Amelia Earhart’s description of her solo transatlantic flight in 1932.
Sometimes God doesn’t allow us to see the danger that we’re in and because we cannot see the danger we are able to carry on.
