The Unstoppable Power of Resurrection

Scientists have grown a tiny green shoot from a 1,288 year old lotus seed from China. It is believed to be the oldest seed ever germinated. A thick shell protected the seed from air and water. It also possessed a protein-repair enzyme by which it was able to fend off all age related damage. But there exists a substance of much greater potency than a protein-repair enzyme: it is the resurrection power which our Lord Jesus has provided for us. Just think! Simply by putting our faith in Jesus we can appropriate this power and then the perishable puts on the imperishable, and for us death has no more sting. “But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept.”
